Another Bomb Explosion averted in Kano.

PANDEMONIUM occurred at Kingsgarden, an area very close to Sabo/gari in Kano onSaturday when people ran helter skelter for safety when a bomb planted in a gutter was uncovered by some people. The incident occurred between 7.00 and 7.30 p.m. when many people were returning home after the day’s work. According to a source who preferred anonymity, “it wasjust divine intervention that the bomb planted was discovered before it was detonated. If not, a lot of damage could have been done as many people were very close to the scene.” He hinted that the moment the bomb was uncovered by a good Samaritan, security operatives were informed. He also added that the anti-bomb squad later arrived the scene of the incident to detonate the bomb. While confirming the incident,the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Magaji Majiya, said it was true that the bomb was uncovered at Kngsgarden. Majiya, an ASP, then stated that the anti-bomb squad had been drafted to the scene, while the entire area had been cordoned off to avert any ugly occurrence. He added that the planted bomb had been defused, no life was lost, nobody sustained any injury and that nobody had been arrested yet.
