In August 2010, a truck belonging to Dangote Sugar Refineries, rammed into vehicles along the Lagos-Ibadan Express, resulting in a fatal accident that claimed the lives of over 30people and destroyed several vehicles. The families of the victims went to court to seek justice and compensation. And after over a year and a half, they finally got it yesterday as an Ikeja Magistrate court has asked Dangote Sugar Refinery to 'issue a public apology' and pay 'minimal compensation' to the accident victims and their families within the nextthree months.
